Let’s explore the captivating South Tour, which winds through the scenic landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. Buckle up as we delve into the enchanting destinations along this route:

 

  1. Beauly and Robertson’s Farm:

    • Depart from Invergordon and head south through the historic market town of Dingwall.

    • Arrive in the charming Highland village of Beauly, known for its unique retail outlets and the ancient Beauly Priory ruins.

    • Robertson's Farm is home to Jamie and Morag, 2 splendid Highland Cows
       

  2. Loch Ness Photo Stop:

    • Continue along some scenic Highland back roads, and arrive at the western shore of Loch Ness.

    • Capture breathtaking views of the legendary loch and its surrounding hills

    • Keep an eye out for Nessie—the elusive Loch Ness monster!
      ​

  3. Inverness Exploration:

    • Travel north alongside Loch Ness, crossing the Caledonian Canal, and reach the small Scottish Highland capital city of Inverness.

    • Possibility to explore at your own pace:

      • Visit landmarks like St. Andrew’s Cathedral and the picturesque Ness Islands.

      • Explore fascinating shops and boutiques.

      • Indulge in lunch at one of the many fine local eateries.
         

  4. Culloden Moor Reflection**: (The full battlefield visitor experience can take 2 hrs)

    • Culloden Battlefield is located just east out of Inverness.

    • Pass over the bleak and wild expanse of Culloden Moor, where the historic Battle of Culloden took place in 1746.
       

  5. Clava Cairns

    • Tucked away in a beautiful woodland setting near Culloden, to the east of Inverness, these ancient burial cairns are 4000 years old​

    • Reflect on the lives of those who rested here in the serenity of the woods
       

  6. ​​​Cawdor Castle Experience** (Can only be seen with tickets)​

    • ​​Arrive at the splendid Cawdor Castle, romantically linked to Macbeth by William Shakespeare.

    • Explore this intact fortified house, wander through beautiful gardens, and feel the weight of history.

    • The castle remains home to the current generation of the Cawdor family.
      ​

  7. Dolphin Spotting at Chanonry Point: (Family Friendly)

    • Depending on the tides head towards Chanonry Point on the Black Isle.

    • This scenic spot is renowned for its dolphin sightings. Keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins leaping in the Moray Firth!
       

  8. Sheepdogs at Leanach Farm: (Family Friendly) - Organised in advance

    • Occasionally we may have the chance to enjoy a visit to Leanach Farm.

    • Witness skilled sheepdogs in action as they demonstrate their herding abilities.

    • Visit the petting area to see lambs and goats
       

Remember to bring your camera to capture the stunning landscapes, historic sites, and perhaps a glimpse of Nessie herself!

Falls of Shin, Strath Fleet, Dunrobin Castle, Loch Fleet and Dornoch, Glenmorangie or Balblair Distillery

The South Tour : Choose from Invergordon to Loch Ness via Beauly and Robertson's Farm, Inverness city with optional shopping

Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle or Culloden, Dolphin spotting, 

​

Minimum recommended time is 4 hours, this can be extended at client's request if all stops are included
