Skye Tour
A typical day trip to Skye
We leave Inverness in the morning and head west to the beautiful Isle of Skye
​
On the way we pass through majestic mountain scenery before stopping at the world famous Eilean Donan Castle. Here you can take some photos, grab a coffee or even go inside the castle.
​
Then it's onto the island and up to see the Cuillin mountain from the popular Sligachan Old Bridge.
​
The Fairy Pools next and then to the Island's capital Portree. You can shop here for local arts and crafts.
​
Finally we head up to the Trotternish area to see the geological marvels of the Old Man of Storr and Kilt Rock.

Notes
Adjusting your visit
Skye is a big island - 1656 km² (about 640 square miles)
​
The obvious trouble with trying to explore such a large area which is a 2 hour drive from Inverness is that it doesn't give much time to do anything but jump out, take a look around and then get back in the car.
​
For those that want to spend more time on the island, perhaps an overnight stay, then Seòras will be happy enough to pick you up in Inverness, tour to Skye and drop you at your island accomodation before picking up the tour again the next day. Please do not hesitate to contact us if this would be something you'd like to do.
